Makeup Case: Face

My makeup regime for my face is not all that intense. Because my skin is naturally dry, I've never had to cover up more than the occasional blemish. Though I don't wear it often enough, my sunscreen of choice is "anything that works." I'll go into what moisturizers and cleansers I use in my bath products review. Here is everything else!

Smashbox Iconic Photo Finish Foundation Primer helps my foundation stay on my face. I mean, if you shell out for nice foundation, why not use a primer to get the most out of it? This isn't the cheapest product, but I got a sample through cashing in some Sephora points.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation SPF 15 in Light works wonders. Though my skin is usually clear, I got a nasty blemish a few days ago. This foundation rendered it almost invisible, and that was before I used any concealer. If this product matches your skin tone, it is wonderful for coverage and giving your skin a more uniform appearance. I've been satisfied with the results in the summer, when I have a tan, and in the winter, when I am a ghost. To me, this foundation is worth the price tag.

Tarte Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Waterproof Concealer in Light is not quite the miracle product its sister is, but it does its job. I use it mostly to help brighten up the dark circles under my eyes. When I have a tan, this product is about a shade lighter than my skin, so using it in the summer requires some blending.

NARS Blush in Orgasm is one of the blushes, so you've probably heard of it if you're addicted to beauty blogs like me. It's a sheer powder blush. In the case, it's a soft peachy pink with gold flecks. On my face, it provides a lovely, natural-looking glow. It also feels nice on my face because it's so fine and soft. This product comes with a price tag, but if you're a blush wearer, I recommend it. It certainly makes me look less dead in winter.

Kat Von D Everlasting Face Shaper Blush, on the other hand, is a PINK powder blush. Like, "call the doctor because I have a fever" levels of pink. I don't really wear it because applying it requires such a light hand. I wouldn't call it a bad product; it just doesn't mesh well with my skin tone. I would totally wear it as stage makeup because it stains well. And this is why we try products on before we impulse buy them, children!

Lancôme Le Crayon Poudre - Powder Pencil for the Brows in Taupe is another pricey product I shelled out for. It comes in pencil form, and one side is indeed a pencil you use to fill in gaps in your eyebrows. The other side has a little brush on the end, which is invaluable for getting your eyebrow hairs to all go in the right direction. It helps with plucking, too, because you can see which hairs are part of the shape you want. The pencil itself looks better on me in the winter. Now that it's summer, I wish I had one in Natural Blonde. I didn't think my hair changed color that drastically, but clearly I was wrong!

This is everything that I put on my face! I am happy to answer any questions. (Though if they're about plucking your eyebrows, honestly, my method is "tweezers and hope," so you should probably Google it.)
